Return & Refund Policy (Made-to-Order Items)

At MapStuff™, most items are custom and made to order. Because of this, we generally don’t accept returns or exchanges for buyer’s remorse (wrong size, change of mind, etc.).
1. What we do cover (and how long you have to report it)
If there’s a problem with your order due to a quality issue or fulfillment error, we’ll make it right with a free replacement or a refund, depending on the situation. In most quality/fulfillment cases, you won’t need to return the item.
Please report issues within the timeframes below:
• Damaged, misprinted, or defective items: report within 30 days of delivery
• Lost in transit (package never arrives): report within 30 days of the estimated delivery date
• Wrong item received / fulfillment mistake: report within 30 days of delivery (photos required)
2. What we don’t cover (typical “change of mind” cases)
Because items are made to order, we do not accept returns or exchanges for:
• Ordering the wrong size
• Choosing the wrong color/item
• Positioning of the map incorrectly on your item (unless it's an obvious manufacturing defect)
• Deciding you don’t want it anymore
If you’d like a replacement in these cases, you’re welcome to place a new order..
3. If tracking says “Delivered” but you didn’t receive it
If the carrier marks an order as Delivered but you can’t locate it, we typically can’t offer a free replacement or refund because delivery can’t be verified as missing. We recommend checking:
• Nearby doors/porch/parcel locker
• Neighbors/building office
• Your local post office or carrier
If you still need help, contact us and we’ll do what we reasonably can, but replacement in this scenario is not guaranteed.
4. How to request a replacement or refund (submit a problem report)
To start a claim, contact us at [email protected] or fill out our Contact Form within the time limits above and include:
• Your order number
• A brief description of the issue
• Clear photos (required for damage/print issues/wrong items)
We’ll review and, if approved, we’ll arrange a replacement or a refund.
5. Returns, refused shipments, and “return to sender”
If a return is necessary, do not mail anything back unless we give you instructions to do so.
If a package is returned due to a shipping issue (for example: invalid/insufficient address, refused, or not picked up), you may be responsible for reshipping costs. Once a returned package is processed, you typically have a limited window to request reshipment.
Unclaimed returns: Items that come back and aren’t claimed within 30 days may be donated to charity.
6. Wrong or incomplete address
If you notice an address error, contact us immediately. Address updates may be possible only before the order ships.
If the order ships to an incorrect/insufficient address and is returned, you may be responsible for reshipping after confirming the corrected address.
